Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Plant Process Safety Engineer for its Singapore operations on Jurong Island. You will lead chemical manufacturing process safety programs, coordinate with MOM, NEA, SCDF, and MDH, and drive risk reduction across the plant.

The role requires a chemical or mechanical engineering degree and 3–5 years of process safety experience in a chemical plant environment, with strong leadership and English communication skills. On-site work with flexible patterns is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of process safety experience.
• Hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing/plant environment.
• Right to work in Singapore.
• Experience with local regulators such as MOM, NEA, SCDF, etc.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance with MOM, Occupational Safety and Health Division, Major Hazard Department, NEA, SCDF and internal process safety.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support on process safety matters.
• Lead site to implement process safety and engineering initiatives as developed by headquarters or customized for each site.
• Integrate requirements for process safety, operational integrity, mechanical integrity and maintenance into a cohesive plan and communicate it across the function.
• Coordinate process hazard analysis revalidation scheduling and employee participation with plant personnel.
• Coordinate collection and maintenance of Process Safety Information indicators for the plant and construction personnel.
• Establish a culture of process safety program ownership through coaching and mentoring employees.
• Provide oversight to MOC by maintaining and auditing MOC and PSSR records and procedures.
