Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island is seeking a Safety Engineer to support ESH programs and manage site hazards in a chemical manufacturing setting.

The role includes overseeing the MOC process and database, assisting PHA/assessments, ensuring WSH compliance, auditing and incident investigations. A Bachelor in Engineering with 1–3 years in the chemical industry is preferred, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering with 1–3 years' experience in the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of chemical plant and/or process engineering and ESH compliance programs.
• Good knowledge of processes to identify, assess and manage risks and hazards (MOC, PSSR, PHA, etc.).
• Basic knowledge about process hazard consequence and effects modelling.
• Knowledge of tools like RCA, 5M, Fishbone, Human Factor Analysis, Human Error Failure Analysis.
• Knowledge about process safety management programs and implementation details.
• General knowledge of WSH management system (risk management, permit to work, LO-TO, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Supports the site by implementing ESH programs and managing ESH hazards.
• Manages the MOC process, database and supports PHA & assessments.
• Implements applicable WSH regulations and ESH rules, requirements and ESH Culture Framework; conducts audits and regular walk-throughs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Supports incident investigation
