Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island seeks a Senior HSE Engineer to lead PHA, MOC reviews and PSSR, and to implement LOTO across chemical plant projects.

Coordinate equipment walkdowns, EPC handovers and pre-startup activities, while serving as SME for safety, environment and compliance, driving risk assessments, incident investigations, and training; 5+ years HSE in chemical plants with a chemical engineering degree (or 10 years without) and knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 and SS561; willing to work

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years HSE experience in a chemical plant (with Chemical Engineering degree), or 10 years without a degree.
• Familiar with ISO 14001/45001, SS561, and Safety Management Systems.
• Experienced in PHA facilitation and PSM framework management.
• Knowledge in chemical plant construction safety and new plant startups preferred.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk management, and hazard identification.
• Incident investigation and trend analysis.
• Leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP-EHS Management System
• Willing to work in Jurong Island

Responsibilities

• Lead PHA, MOC reviews, and PSSR.
• Implement and manage LOTO systems for safe equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate equipment walkdowns, punch listing, and EPC handover.
• Oversee pre-startup planning, commissioning, and startup of new plant facilities and modifications.
• Ensure safe commissioning of new project components into operations.
• Develop and lead HSE procedures and act as SME for safety, environment, and compliance.
• Provide safety engineering support, review change/waiver requests, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and respond to HSE regulations, conduct gap analyses, and ensure project alignment.
• Lead HSE training, incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Maintain industrial hygiene programs and share best practices across teams and site
