Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in motion control, automation, business development or product planning.
• Strong knowledge of motion control technologies and related automation solutions.
• Experience in developing, supporting or commercializing application solutions involving motion control.
• Experience in technical support, application development, or market development in automation is advantageous.
• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent) is required for coordination with Japan.
• Market analysis, strategic planning or digital marketing experience is a plus.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Research and Development to drive the development and commercialization of application solutions utilizing the Company's motion control products for automation and robotics industries across the Asia-Pacific region.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, distributors, internal sales teams, headquarters, and affiliated factories in Japan to identify market opportunities, develop customer-\u2011centric application solutions, support business growth initiatives, and strengthen the Company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of application solutions for automation and robotics applications utilizing the Company's motion control products to meet customer requirements.
• Evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable product applications and system solutions using the Company's portfolio of AC motors, brushless motors, stepper motors, servomotors, actuators, and related automation products.
• Provide technical consultation and application support to customers, distributors, and internal sales teams on the Company's products and solutions.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and application studies to identify emerging industry trends, new customer requirements, and opportunities for developing new applications using the Company's products.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support customer engagements, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and business development activities.
• Support the commercialization and market adoption of new application solutions across the Asia-\u2011Pacific region.
• Develop and conduct technical and product application training for sales personnel, distributors, and business partners.
• Support marketing and promotional activities, including exhibitions, seminars, technical workshops, and digital marketing initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of regional sales and business development strategies to achieve growth objectives.
• Collaborate with headquarters in Japan to formulate and execute long-\u2011term business plans aligned with the Company's sales growth targets.
• Act as the primary liaison with headquarters and affiliated factories in Japan, coordinating business initiatives, product strategies, and market development activities.
• Lead regular meetings with stakeholders in Japan to ensure alignment on projects, market opportunities, and business objectives.
• Prepare and present monthly business and sales reports in Japanese to headquarters in Japan.

Requirement

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in motion control, industrial automation, business development, sales, and product planning.
• Strong knowledge of motion control technologies, including AC motors, brushless motors, stepper motors, servomotors, actuators, and related automation solutions. Experience with the Company's motion control products will be highly preferred.
• Experience in developing, supporting, or commercializing application solutions involving motion control and automation products.
• Experience in technical support, application development, business development, or market development within the automation industry will be advantageous.
• Japanese language proficiency (minimum JLPT N1 or equivalent) is required as the role involves frequent communication, technical discussions, business meetings, report preparation, and coordination with headquarters and affiliated factories in Japan, where business communications are conducted in Japanese.
• Experience in market analysis, strategic planning, and digital marketing initiatives will be an advantage.
