Job summary

Oriental Motor Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. seeks a Senior Manager, Research and Development to drive development and commercialization of motion control application solutions for automation and robotics across the Asia-Pacific region.

You will work with customers, distributors, and the Japan HQ to identify market opportunities and deliver customer-centric solutions. The role requires deep motion control expertise, strong project leadership, and the ability to coordinate with headquarters and

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in motion control, industrial automation, business development, sales, and product planning.
Strong knowledge of motion control technologies and company products.
Experience developing, supporting, or commercializing application solutions in automation.
Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1) for coordination with HQ in Japan.

Responsibilities

Lead development of application solutions for automation and robotics using company motion control products.
Evaluate customer needs and recommend product applications and system solutions.
Provide technical consultation and application support to customers, distributors and sales teams.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis and studies to identify trends and opportunities.
Collaborate with sales to support customer engagements, product demonstrations and business development.
Support commercialization and market adoption of new solutions across APAC.
Develop and deliver technical and product training for sales, distributors and partners.
Assist in regional sales and business development strategies to achieve growth objectives.
