HIRATA FA ENGINEERING (S) PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a seasoned sales engineer to lead technical liaison with Japan HQ, develop automation solutions, and grow the customer base in factory automation and automotive sectors. You will read drawings, prepare proposals, and coordinate with engineering and production teams to deliver turnkey solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in factory automation and automotive industry sales.
• Turnkey machine or automation solution sales experience, preferably in automotive engine assembly.
• Good knowledge of automotive components, including drive units (EDU), rotors, stators, inverters, IGBT power module, and battery modules.
• Good understanding of factory automation and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and machine layouts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with local teams and affiliated companies; good English proficiency required for Japanese.
• Japanese language proficiency (spoken and written) is an advantage for communication with Japan HQ.
• Strong technical communication and presentation skills with good negotiation skill.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.

Responsabilités

• Served as the lead technical liaison with Japan HQ, providing technical support to local sales teams and developing customized solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Develop new business and identify potential customers and opportunities.
• Understand customer processes and propose suitable automation solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, participate in design review and technical discussion with customer.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering and Production teams during project execution.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT) and commissioning activities when required.
• Ensure customer requirements and agreed specifications.
• Monitor industry trends, customer investment plans and competitor activities.
• Develop business opportunities in target industries.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts and business development reports.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
