Job summary

Singapore Management University invites a skilled Alumni Relations professional to lead stakeholder engagement and volunteer management within the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).

You will partner with Schools, Offices and industry partners to deliver meaningful alumni programs, manage chapters overseas, and plan events while supporting university-wide initiatives. A Bachelor's degree with 4+ years' experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of working experience, preferably in higher education.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management, administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) with an outgoing personality.
• Demonstrate strategic, critical and analytical thinking abilities.
• Mature and relationship-oriented, with proven ability to build partnerships with alumni and other stakeholders.
• Experience in alumni relations would be an advantage.
• Proficient in leveraging technology, social media and database management tools.
• Creative, innovative, energetic, and positive with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willing to work after office hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Partner Schools, Offices, Colleges and Institutes to develop and deliver alumni engagement initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, and collaborate with industry partners to create meaningful opportunities for alumni.
• Contribute as an active team member within OAR to support cluster, department and university-wide events.
• Manage Alumni Chapters, Groups and Communities to strengthen alumni engagement and governance.
• Provide strategic guidance and operational support to alumni chapters on initiatives, budgets, and succession plans.
• Maintain and manage alumni/volunteer database with accurate records and contact information.
• Conceptualise, research and execute a diverse portfolio of alumni engagement programmes, including reunions and overseas townhalls.
• Manage end-to-end event planning, execution, evaluation, reporting and communications.
• Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and undertake other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
