Job summary

Singapore General Hospital Pte Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned manager to lead the Allied Health department’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

You will drive budgeting, staff development, procurement, and governance, while steering improvement projects and the agile workforce. The role requires overseeing data analytics for care and manpower, coordinating events, and showcasing initiatives to elevate the department’s standing.

Qualifications

• A degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, and at least 3 years in managerial role.
• Experience in leading improvement / innovation projects, with a sound understanding of quality improvement principles and methodologies.
• Proficient in computer skills e.g. word processing, slides, spreadsheets.
• Competence in project management and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Department’s day-to-day administrative duties and programmes including budgeting, work plan, staff training, recruitment, procurement of products or services.
• Oversee and drive operational strategies, initiatives and workflows to build an agile Allied Health workforce, including service development, innovation, research, education, governance and person-centred care.
• Strategise and plan resources for mid and long term initiatives within defined areas, aligned with organisational and national priorities.
• Monitor and analyse clinical care, operations and manpower data and recommend priority areas and strategic approaches.
• Identify potential innovation and transformational projects for scaling, and work with teams on planning, coordination, implementation, scaling, evaluation, and sustainability of objectives.
• Monitor, analyse and manage resource use for effectiveness and efficiency, including manpower and funding.
• Oversee documentation and databases to ensure timely information sharing and meaningful reporting.
• Oversee events planning, publicity, execution and post-event activities, with updates via internal and public channels (email, Infopedia, social media).
• Identify initiatives and projects for showcasing at platforms like awards, conferences and events to recognize staff and elevate Allied Health’s standing.
