Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte. Ltd. invites a qualified engineer to lead site operations at Harbourfront, overseeing M&E coordination, shop drawing submissions, and construction schedules.

The role requires hands-on supervision, adherence to HSE standards, and active participation in project meetings to drive progress. The candidate will support the Project Manager in scheduling, progress tracking, and client liaison, ensuring timely handover to the client's operations team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with Singapore's local construction practices, including GM requirements and DfMA.
• Strong experience in M&E coordination, site supervision, and building services installation.
• Able to work independently and manage site responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of shop drawings, material proposals, and construction schedules for consultant review and approval.
• Coordinate and supervise site operations, including inspections, site measurements, and work progress, to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Participate in project meetings, including progress reviews, safety briefings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and audit-related discussions.
• Assist the Project Manager in maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and preparing project status updates.
• Maintain accurate daily site records, site diaries, and weekly progress reports.
• Ensure site activities adhere to established health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in coordination with the safety team.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on M&E inspections, quality assurance, testing, and commissioning matters.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee M&E inspections, quality control activities, testing, and commissioning works.
• Coordinate project completion and handover activities to ensure a smooth transition to the client's operations team.
