Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled M&E Project Engineer to coordinate and supervise M&E activities on-site in Singapore. You will manage shop drawings, submissions, inspections, and commissioning while ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, quality, and schedules.

You will collaborate with consultants and clients, lead meetings, and support the Project Manager with schedules and progress reports, while maintaining strong HSE compliance and site safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building Services Engineering or equivalent (PEB recognized).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience, preferably in local construction.
• Hands-on experience with shop drawings, material submissions, inspections, testing and commissioning, and project handover.
• Strong coordination and communication with consultants, clients, subcontractors, authorities, and internal teams.
• Good understanding of construction schedules, documentation, quality requirements and HSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, and monitor shop drawings, material submissions, and construction programmes for submission and approval by consultants.
• Coordinate and monitor M&E site activities including site inspections, measurements, installation works, and supervision.
• Coordinate M&E services with architectural, structural, and other building services to minimize clashes and ensure smooth site execution.
• Attend project progress meetings, safety meetings, coordination meetings, audit interviews, and subcontractor meetings as required.
• Support the Project Manager in preparing and updating project schedules, progress data, and project status reports.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, site diaries, weekly progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Work with the safety team to ensure M&E activities comply with site HSE requirements and safety regulations.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, relevant authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders on M&E matters.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead M&E inspections, quality checks, testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor M&E installation works and ensure workmanship and materials meet project specs and approved submissions.
• Identify and resolve M&E technical and coordination issues arising during construction.
• Plan and coordinate M&E works and documentation for project completion, testing, commissioning, and handover to client operations.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience, preferably within the local construction industry.
• Strong experience in M&E/building services coordination and site supervision.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction requirements and practices, including Green Mark (GM), Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), and relevant local codes and standards.
• Hands‑on experience with shop drawings, material submissions, inspections, testing and commissioning, and project handover.
• Good understanding of construction schedules, project documentation, quality requirements, and HSE practices.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants, clients, subcontractors, authorities, and internal project teams.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and resolve site issues effectively.
• Proficient in relevant engineering and construction documentation/software will be an advantage.
