Job summary

ACHIEVE CAREER CONSULTANT PTE LTD in Singapore is looking for a candidate to supervise the installation of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems for various building projects. You will ensure that the installation complies with approved drawings and specifications while monitoring project progress.

The ideal applicant holds a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and has at least 3 years of related experience. Strong communication skills and a detailed knowledge of safety practices are essential. A competitive salary of up to $7,000 based on experience is offered.

Job description

Our client is a reputable main contractor with an established portfolio of building projects across Singapore. Due to project expansion, they are looking for passionate M&E Engineers to join their project team and support the successful delivery of major developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Review and ensure M&E works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
• Attend project, coordination, and technical meetings to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate M&E activities to minimise delays and prevent clashes between different trades.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with M&E subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to the construction programme.
• Coordinate testing & commissioning activities and combined services testing to ensure project readiness for authority inspections and handover.
• Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and updated to support quality management systems and ISO requirements.
• Work closely with the Safety team to ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and site regulations.
• Follow up on non-compliance issues and coordinate timely rectification with subcontractors to maintain project quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E site coordination or project execution within building construction projects.
• Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors, and M&E trades throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Good understanding of ACMV, electrical, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary, and other building services systems.
• Familiar with local building regulations, testing & commissioning, quality assurance, and workplace safety practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Working hours: 5 Days and OT
• Salary: up to S$6,000 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
