Job summary

Woh Hup (Private) Limited in Singapore is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator (Construction) to lead the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.

The role requires 5 years of M&E experience with A1 main contractors, familiarity with BIM and VDC concepts, and the ability to work with design teams and site staff while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from A1 main contractor.
• PPVC construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications to monitor progress, quality and schedule.
• Liaise with design consultants on design intent.
• Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural teams to minimize discrepancies.
• Check and prepare material samples with shop drawing submissions.
• Chair M&E coordination meetings.
• Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise for drawings issuance.
• Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
• Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities.
• Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.

Job description

The Senior M&E Coordinator (Construction) is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule
• Liaise with design consultants on the design intent
• Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies
• Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission
• Chair M&E coordination meeting
• Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance
• Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors
• Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace

Job Requirements

• Preferably with a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from A1 main contractor
• Candidate with PPVC construction experience is most preferred
• Candidate with full cycle in condo residential, mixed development or data center projects experience would have added advantage
• Good written and spoken English
• Exhibit good character of strength, willing to learn and resourceful
• Good stakeholder engagement and management skills
• Good organizational, administrative and time management skills
• Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast and dynamic work environment
