Job summary

WOH HUP ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an M&E Coordinator to oversee coordination and execution of all M&E works at our site in Singapore.

You will monitor progress, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain compliance with the project schedule. The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience coordinating M&E across trades in large-scale building projects, including familiarity with BIM and VDC concepts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience coordinating M&E works with multiple trades and stakeholders on large-scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
• Experience coordinating with design consultants and in-house architectural & structural teams to minimize discrepancies.
• Knowledge of BIM concept and VDC implementation in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with schedule.

• Check and prepare material samples with shop drawing submissions.

• Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.

Job description

The M&E Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule.
• Liaise with design consultants on the design intent.
• Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies.
• Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission.
• Chair M&E coordination meeting.
• Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance.
• Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
• Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
• At least with 3 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi) and other stakeholders (e.g. consultant and subcontractors) for large scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
• Candidates with either mixed development, condominium or data center projects would have an added advantage.
• Understand contract requirement and M&E specification.
• Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise and push for M&E works to be completed timely with relevant stakeholders.
• Able to manage and solve complex problems at site.
• Understand all the essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections.
• Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept.
