Job summary

CONSTRUCTION RESOURCES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced M&E Coordinator to oversee and coordinate M&E works within interior fit-out or construction projects.

The role requires on-site availability during project hours and a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services. You will supervise installation and commissioning, review drawings, control costs, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met to deliver

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E coordination, preferably in interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection.
• Familiar with construction drawings, project specs, and technical docs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and BMS knowledge is an advantage.
• Able to interpret electrical drawings and various MEP components.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• WSH for Construction Sites certification is a plus and on-site work availability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all M&E works to ensure timely completion and compliance with project specs.

• Manage M&E project documentation, including progress reports and quality checklists.
• Assist in procurement by evaluating tenders and selecting subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control M&E costs to keep within budget and identify savings.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and conduct safety audits; provide post-project support.

Core Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee all M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) works to ensure timely completion, compliance with project specifications, and alignment with the project timeline.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and related components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that M&E works meet safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all M&E-related matters, liaising with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and other trades to address and resolve technical issues and project challenges.
• Review and coordinate construction drawings across MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) disciplines, ensuring seamless integration with civil, structural, and architectural elements.
• Manage M&E project documentation, including progress reports, submittals, and quality checklists.
• Assist in procurement by evaluating tenders and selecting subcontractors and suppliers for M&E-related work.
• Monitor and control M&E costs to ensure the project stays within budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards for all M&E works, conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
• Provide post-project support, including defect rectification and addressing operational issues after handover.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E coordination, preferably in interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Familiar with construction drawings, project specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.
• Experience in interpreting and coordinating electrical drawings, air conditioning schematics, security systems, CCTV, conference systems, AV setups, and related MEP components.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) for Construction Sites is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site during project hours.
• Occasional requirement to work weekends or outside regular office hours to meet project deadlines.
