Job summary

WOH HUP ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator to lead the coordination and execution of mechanical and electrical works at site, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.

The role requires coordinating with design consultants, in-house teams, and subcontractors, with BIM/VDC awareness and a strong focus on safety and problem solving on large-scale buildings. Applicants should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of M&E coordination

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in M&E coordination on large-scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
• Experience with BIM concept and VDC is preferred.
• Able to manage complex site problems and ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project schedule.
• Liaise with design consultants on design intent.
• Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies.
• Prepare M&E coordination drawings and issue drawings.
• Attend and facilitate M&E coordination meetings.
• Assess and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
• Coordinate site temporary utilities and ensure safety practices.

Job description

The Senior M&E Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule.
• Liaise with design consultants on the design intent.
• Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies.
• Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission.
• Attend and facilitate M&E coordination meeting.
• Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance.
• Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
• Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
• At least with 5 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi) and other stakeholders (e.g. consultant and subcontractors) for large scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
• Candidates with either mixed development, condominium or data center projects would have an added advantage.
• Understand contract requirement and M&E specification.
• Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise and push for M&E works to be completed timely with relevant stakeholders.
• Able to manage and solve complex problems at site.
• Understand all the essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections.
• Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept.
