Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide end-user support and maintain IT equipment functionality. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and upgrading computers, with knowledge of Windows systems and networking. The role requires a positive attitude, ability to work independently, and willingness to support urgent matters after hours.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and upgrading computers.
  • Knowledge of Windows client, server, and networking, including TCP/IP.
  • Willing to support after office hours for urgent issues.

Responsibilities
  • Setup computers, provide end-user support for company & project offices (computers and applications)
  • Maintain the functionality of IT equipment, including hardware, software, network, etc.
  • Account creation for emails, users AD account, printers, applications, etc.
  • Update inventory, documentation, follow up on licensing renewal.
  • Coordination and liaise with regional office, provide guidance to users.
  • Perform regular checks on file servers and data backup.
  • Remoting or travel to site office to support users, or coordination with vendors/suppliers.
  • System preventive maintenance.
  • Ad hoc duty assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Computer IT related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience on troubleshooting and upgrading of computers.
  • Knowledge of Windows client, server and networking, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Able to work independently, including conducting investigations and research to resolve IT-related problems
  • Willing to support after office hours if required, especially urgent matters.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
