Job summary

Huawei International Pte. Ltd. is seeking an IT professional to act as the network subject matter expert and main contact for HQ, APAC, and vendors.

The role includes rotating office IT infrastructure responsibilities and supporting multiple offices across Singapore and Brunei. The candidate will contribute to cross-domain support (desktop, video conferencing, and office equipment), assist in documenting IT processes, and participate in audits and security-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of Helpdesk support or relevant experience.
• Basic to intermediate networking knowledge.
• Strong understanding of server room infrastructure and equipment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the IT network SME and primary contact for HQ, APAC, and vendors.
• Oversee office IT infrastructure across locations (rotating basis).
• Provide cross-domain support (desktop, video conferencing, office equipment) with the team.
• Support 4 offices across Singapore and Brunei; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assist Head of IT in documenting and reviewing IT processes and quality.
• Engage in cross-department discussions to meet business requirements and participate in audits.
• Contribute to compliance and security initiatives and handle urgent tasks and events.

Job Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for network related matters, being the point of contact when working with HQ, APAC and vendors.
• Will be responsible for the office IT infrastructure to which wherever located (rotating basis)
• While being the subject matter expert for network, this role is also expected to support other domains of work (desktop, video conferencing, other office equipment), achieving a cross-domain support structure with other team members.
• Will be involved in work supporting 4 offices across Singapore and Brunei.
• Assist the Head of IT in managing and documenting IT processes.
• Assist the Head of IT in regularly reviewing IT process quality.
• Participate in discussions with various departments to meet their business requirements.
• Participate and assist in audit.
• Will be involved in work related to Compliance and Security.
• Able to commit time and achieve delivery for urgent tasks, events and projects.
• Able to lead small to medium scale events and projects.

Job Requirement

• Minimum a diploma in IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Helpdesk support or relevant field experiences.
• Possess basic to intermediate Networking knowledge.
• Possess good knowledge on server room infrastructure and equipment.
• Possess good knowledge AI.

• Able to travel overseas for project/maintenance work.
• Participated in the full delivery process of projects.
• Has experience in leading, in any form that may be relatable.
• Has experience working with other Business Units on daily operations or projects.
• Able to cite examples from experience on critical thinking for problem solving.
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency.
• Able to commit time for occasional out of hours tasks/projects/incidents handling.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
