Job description

We are looking for a Senior IT Manager to own and lead the IT function for our Singapore office. You will manage the local IT team, run vendor and budget strategy, and be accountable for IT security, compliance and service quality for about 70 on-site users, including local staff and Korean expatriates. You will be the key link between HQ and the local business, working closely with Korean-speaking HQ management.

Scope at a Glance
  • About 70 on‑site users, including local staff and Korean expatriates
  • 240+ managed devices: laptops, monitors, printers, copiers and desk phones
  • About 20 active vendor contracts, worth around US$1.2M in total
  • A two‑person IT team, with complex technical issues escalated to HQ
Key Responsibilities
IT Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead, coach and develop the local IT team, setting priorities, performance goals and service standards
  • Define the local IT roadmap in line with HQ direction and business needs
  • Prepare and own the annual IT investment proposal and budget across PC, network, server, security and IT services, and track spend against plan
  • Report on IT performance, risks and project status to local management and HQ
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Own the contract lifecycle for IT services, hardware and maintenance: RFQ, quotation comparison, price negotiation, legal pre‑approval, signing and renewal
  • Coordinate approvals and procurement with Sales, Legal, Finance and HQ
  • Prepare the annual IT investment proposal across PC, network, server, security and IT services
License & Asset Management
  • Govern paid‑license allocation: review requests, track seat holders and reconcile HQ's annual charge‑back
  • Oversee asset records with Finance (SAP for capitalisation, tracking sheets for serial numbers and refresh cycles) across purchase, deployment, refresh and disposal
  • Keep users informed of renewals and vendor‑side license issues, and write guides foreach new process
Identity, Access & Security
  • Oversee Active Directory and SVPN administration (account lifecycle, access changes, device binding, usage and connection logs)
  • Own the deployment and maintenance of MFA, SSO and endpoint protection, and oversee patching and software deployment through Intune
  • Respond to security requests from HQ, and lead preparation of documents, access logs and MFA evidence for internal and external audits
  • Monitor and report IT and physical security status using Splunk and JIRA, and drive remediation of gaps
IT Operations & User Support
  • Be accountable for the overall quality of IT support, including L1/L2 and VIP support for PCs, printers, Wi‑Fi/LAN, VPN, conferencing, AV and Knox collaboration tools
  • Handle escalations and lead diagnosis of network issues, separating account faults from network faults
  • Oversee monitoring and updates of servers, CCTV, time‑attendance systems and other office devices
  • Step in hands‑on where needed to resolve critical issues
Knowledge, Automation & Gen AI
  • Oversee the IT knowledge base (Confluence) and the internal LLM chatbot, including failed cases and scenario updates
  • Drive adoption of Gen AI tools (KNOX Copilot and Meeting Copilot), expedite technical issues to HQ and lead user training
  • Champion automation of routine alerts, renewal reminders and repetitive processes
Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the bridge between HQ and local users, conveying and escalating information accurately in English and Korean, and in Mandarin when needed
Requirements
  • Fluent English and Korean (spoken and written) is a must, as the role involves daily communication, coordination and reporting with Korean‑speaking HQ management and expatriate colleagues.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT operations, service desk or infrastructure management, preferably in a multinational
  • At least 3 years in a team lead or people management role
  • Proven experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts, including negotiation and renewal
  • Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, MFA/SSO and Intune, SCCM or similar endpoint tools, plus networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPN)
  • Experience handling vendor quotations, procurement or contract coordination
