Job summary

Getech Automation Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and test industrial automation software using C++, C#, and WPF. You will work with hardware interfaces and distributed I/O systems to enable precise machine control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience developing industrial automation software with C++, C#, and WPF.
• Experience with programming motion control cards and distributed I/O systems.
• Strong understanding of Windows API development and memory management techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of the C++ Standard Library and its functionalities, including templates.
• Experience with Windows objects like events and mutexes.
• Familiarity with Windows GDI and GDI+ is a plus.
• Experience with Borland/Embarcadero C++ Builder VCL platforms is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug industrial automation software using C++, C#, and WPF.
• Interact with hardware through Windows API and hardware libraries.
• Program machine functionalities using motion control cards for precise movement.
• Integrate with distributed I/O systems to gather sensor data and control actuators.
• Implement robust data exchange protocols between software and hardware.
• Leverage threading and synchronization for high-performance applications.
• Apply advanced memory management, including memory-mapped files and file mappings.
• Use C++ Standard Library and templates to optimize code.
• Understand Windows objects like events and mutexes for synchronization.
• Possibly develop user interfaces using WPF/WinUI for monitoring and control.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to meet specs.
• Stay updated with C++ and automation tech trends.
