Job summary

Great Eastern seeks an experienced underwriter to lead High Net Worth (HNW) underwriting initiatives in Singapore. You will assess complex HNW applications, provide expert guidance to financial planners, and partner with NBU and distribution teams to uphold quality and regulatory standards.

The role demands >10 years in underwriting with HNW focus, strong analytical skills, and proven leadership. You will drive guideline enhancements and process improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of underwriting experience in Life/Health, with HNW exposure.
• 1–2 years in High Net Worth underwriting at minimum.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new applications for High Net Worth Plans with sound risk assessment.
• Provide expert underwriting advice to financial planners via e-booking platforms, email, phone, and NBU counter.
• Act as liaison between NBU and distribution channels to strengthen relationships.
• Ensure KPIs and service standards (TAT, quality) are consistently met.
• Lead underwriting training sessions for distribution channels and internal stakeholders.
• Drive projects like refining underwriting guidelines and streamlining processes.
