Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff/Senior Engineer in Singapore to lead firmware development for security features on SSDs. You will act as the primary technical escalation point, guide secure configurations, and perform in-depth debugging and root-cause analysis.

You will develop, test, and validate firmware changes, assess vulnerabilities, and support customer audits and certifications. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in computer or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years in a related engineering role.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering is strongly preferred.
• Embedded security domain knowledge including cryptography fundamentals and secure boot.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Security Firmware on SSDs.
• Guide configuration and validation of security features (TCG Opal/Ruby, Enterprise SSC, NVMe/ATA security).
• Reproduce and analyze failures; perform root cause analysis.
• Develop, unit test, and validate security firmware changes per specs.
• Support vulnerability response, audits, and certification activities.
