Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff / Senior Security Engineer for firmware test on SSDs in Singapore. You will define security test strategies, design grey-box/white-box tests, and perform deep root-cause analyses across firmware life cycles.

You will drive test automation and collaborate with firmware teams on secure design reviews, while mentoring junior engineers in test methodologies and debugging practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in SSD firmware testing or development with security validation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement security test strategies for SSD firmware across all product phases.
• Design and execute grey-box and white-box tests for security features and protocols.
• Perform deep root-cause analysis on security failures from regressions, customer issues, and field escapes.
• Drive test automation, regression integration, and quality reporting.
• Collaborate closely with firmware teams on secure design reviews and issue isolation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on test methodologies and debugging.
