Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Fab 10 Facilities, seeks a highly experienced Facilities Electrical Principal Engineer to lead engineering, maintenance, and strategic development of on-site electrical infrastructure for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

The role demands 8+ years in HV/MV/LV systems, strong project management, and expertise in ETAP, IEC standards, and AI-enabled digital tools. You will mentor engineers and drive safety, reliability, and energy efficiency across site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years in High, Medium, and Low Voltage Electrical Systems Design, Maintenance, and Operations within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in HV/MV/LV systems, ETAP software, and IEC standards.
• Familiarity with SMART systems and predictive maintenance tools is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to enhance productivity, decision-making, and efficiency.
• Willingness to learn and champion emerging AI technologies for digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems from 230kV to Low Voltage, including emergency generators and power quality equipment.
• Oversee capacity planning, system performance analysis and execution of expansion projects.
• Provide engineering oversight during design and construction phases and validate scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
• Conduct risk assessments and FMEA to improve resilience and eliminate single points of failure.
• Mentor electrical engineers and technicians through training programs on site.
• Drive deployment of SMART power systems and digital tools to enhance productivity and reliability.
• Collaborate on AI-driven solutions to improve operational performance and energy efficiency.
