Job summary

uib asia reinsurance brokers pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive / Junior Broker to join our team. You will support treaty, facultative and specialty reinsurance placements and engage with clients, producers and reinsurers across the Indochina region.

The role offers exposure to placement processes, market engagement and client management as you progressively take on more ownership while maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in reinsurance or insurance broking.
• Prior experience in a reinsurance broking environment preferred (support/placement/junior broking).
• Familiarity with Indochina markets and regional insurance/reinsurance business.
• Exposure to facultative and/or specialty lines is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the reinsurance placement process and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support and progressively manage treaty, facultative and specialty reinsurance placements from submission through to completion with the broker in charge.
• Work closely with clients and producing brokers to understand risks, coverage requirements and placement objectives.
• Prepare and review broking submissions, slips, quotations, market presentations and placement documentation.
• Approach and engage reinsurers to obtain terms, negotiate placement requirements and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Assist in evaluating terms, conditions, pricing and capacity received from markets.
• Coordinate with clients, producing brokers and reinsurers throughout the placement process.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regional clients, producing brokers and reinsurance markets.
• Support business development activities and contribute to the growth of the Facultative & Specialty portfolio.
• Monitor placement progress, documentation and outstanding items to ensure transactions are completed accurately and promptly.
• Work collaboratively with broking, technical and support colleagues across the business.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, compliance and professional conduct.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Executive / Junior Broker to join our team in Singapore.

This opportunity would suit someone with a solid grounding in reinsurance broking, particularly an experienced broking support professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility across client servicing, placement and market engagement.

The successful candidate should have good knowledge of the Indochina markets and be comfortable working with clients, producing brokers and reinsurers across the region.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in reinsurance, insurance broking or a closely related role.
• Prior experience in a reinsurance broking environment is strongly preferred, particularly in a broking support, placement or junior broking capacity.
• Familiarity with Indochina markets and regional insurance/reinsurance business.
• Exposure to facultative and/or specialty lines would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of the reinsurance placement process and related documentation.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the confidence to engage clients, producing brokers and reinsurers.
• Commercially minded, organised and attentive to detail.
• Able to manage multiple placements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable taking greater ownership of accounts and developing towards a broader broking and client-facing role.
