Job Description
The appointee will assist the PI managing a research team, administrating grants and other administrative related work. The appointee’s responsibilities are stated below:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Primary/Specific (80%)
- General Administration
- Assist PI with team management and coordination for seamless research operation
- Manage recruitment process of potential new staff and scheduling of relevant training as required
- Assist team members with administrative or operational tasks and paperwork for different projects, e.g., access card application
- Grants Administration
- Assist with grant submission
- Assist with budgeting and managing research funds
- Assist with grant related report submission
- Finance
- Monitor and follow up with payment for research activities, e.g., investigation costs for various research activities
- Assist with verifying payment related to research operation
- Manage and assist in research participants reimbursement for various research projects
- Manage team members’ (e.g., student RAs) claims and payments
- Research Contracts/Agreements
- Manage research project agreements and liaise with various sites, stakeholders and departments (i.e. research office and departments)
- Arrange meetings, accurate recording of minutes
- Assist PI to follow up with tasks assigned and timeline for completion
- Inventory Management
- Procurement and maintenance of study procedure supplies
- Maintain research policies and ensure compliance through regular monitoring of relevant documents and internal audit
- Maintain basic bookkeeping of staff records and other relevant documents
General (20%)
- You will undertake any other duties as specified by the Reporting Officer (e.g., assists with ethical submission or activities related to research operation, data monitoring and management).
- You will be expected to obtain additional training to improve required skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline (e.g., business administration, research administration, healthcare, science, engineering)
- Relevant experience is preferred
