Job summary

A leading university in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive for Heart-Brain Health and Science of Care. The role involves managing a research team and overseeing grants administration while ensuring compliance and maintaining project agreements. Job Description

The appointee will assist the PI managing a research team, administrating grants and other administrative related work. The appointee’s responsibilities are stated below:

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Primary/Specific (80%)
  1. General Administration
    • Assist PI with team management and coordination for seamless research operation
    • Manage recruitment process of potential new staff and scheduling of relevant training as required
    • Assist team members with administrative or operational tasks and paperwork for different projects, e.g., access card application
  2. Grants Administration
    • Assist with grant submission
    • Assist with budgeting and managing research funds
    • Assist with grant related report submission
  3. Finance
    • Monitor and follow up with payment for research activities, e.g., investigation costs for various research activities
    • Assist with verifying payment related to research operation
    • Manage and assist in research participants reimbursement for various research projects
    • Manage team members’ (e.g., student RAs) claims and payments
  4. Research Contracts/Agreements
    • Manage research project agreements and liaise with various sites, stakeholders and departments (i.e. research office and departments)
    • Arrange meetings, accurate recording of minutes
    • Assist PI to follow up with tasks assigned and timeline for completion
  5. Inventory Management
    • Procurement and maintenance of study procedure supplies
    • Maintain research policies and ensure compliance through regular monitoring of relevant documents and internal audit
    • Maintain basic bookkeeping of staff records and other relevant documents
General (20%)
  1. You will undertake any other duties as specified by the Reporting Officer (e.g., assists with ethical submission or activities related to research operation, data monitoring and management).
  2. You will be expected to obtain additional training to improve required skills.
