The Senior Engineer – M&E at Sembcorp Specialised Construction Pte Ltd will oversee on-site mechanical and electrical works across built-environment projects, ensuring design, installation and commissioning meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal teams, review design submissions, monitor progress, and support testing, handover and documentation while mentoring junior engineers and site staff to uphold safety and quality.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant M&E engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in piping works with Oil & Gas would be advantageous.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and resolving site-related issues.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.

Purpose and Scope

The Senior Engineer – M&E is responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical and electrical engineering works across construction projects in the built environment. This role ensures that all M&E systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. The Senior Engineer also supports project planning, technical resolution, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of M&E works on‑site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Review and approve M&E design submissions, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Monitor site progress and conduct inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Plan and manage the deployment of materials, tools, and equipment for M&E works.
• Ensure all workers under supervision adhere to safety protocols and are equipped with appropriate PPE.
• Maintain accurate documentation including site reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering within the built environment sector.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, construction processes, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in piping works with Oil & Gas would be an advantage.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and resolving site‑related technical issues.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
