Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking an EHS specialist to manage and audit the organisation's EHS management system for ships and related operations. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and delivering safety improvements across projects.

The candidate will liaise with clients and the EHS team to develop policies, prepare detailed reports, and drive continuous health and safety performance at Changi location.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in EHS or engineering field.
• At least 3 years experience in an EHS role.
• WSHO licence.
• Hotwork & Confined Space assessment certs advantageous.
• Strong report writing, incident investigation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and audit the EHS management system across projects.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and shipyard standards.
• Prepare safety reports and present performance recommendations.
• Plan and conduct EHS system audits.
• Collaborate with clients and operations to improve safety policies.
• Lead incident investigations and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by EHS management.

Job description

Purpose of Role:

Maintains the organization EHS management system by inspecting the implementation of EHS Management System, perform frequent audits on the operational control, evaluate against the compliance to legal regulations, EHS MS and other standards. Possesses analytical skills and values collaboration in order to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

• Supports project & department to comply with EHS regulations & policies
• Stay up-to-date on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices
• Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance and provide recommendations for improvement
• Plan and execute the safety management system audits
• Working with clients to develop or make improvements to the safety management system
• Working with operations/EHS team to develop policies and procedures specific to their needs
• Organises and conducts EHS inspection on project assigned
• Drives project EHSMS for compliances
• Participates in EHS related incident investigation
• Undertakes key department duties as assigned by Asst Mgr (EHS)/ Mgr (EHS)

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree related toEHS or any Engineering fields
• Possess 3 years’ experience in EHS role
• Possess WSHO Licence
• Possess Hotwork Assessor Certification & Confined Space Assessor Certification areadded advantage
• Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act & Shipbuilding & Ship Repairs regulation
• Good report writing & incident investigation & analytical skills
• Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skill
• Proficient in MS Office for reporting and presentation purpose
• Only Singapore Citizen will be considered for this role
