Job summary

WeLead Solutions Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs. You will conduct inspections, coordinate emergency plans, and manage documentation across EHS systems.

The role requires at least 2 years in EHS within manufacturing, strong communication skills, and knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 and local Singapore requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and Singapore EHS laws.
• Good documentation with revision control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Height/Lifting certifications preferred.
• Able to wear PPE and lift up to 18 kg occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS legal requirements and ISO standards.
• Regular inspections of workplace and implement control measures.
• Maintain EHS programs: JSA, Emergency Action Plan, Legal Register, and Risk Management System.
• Coordinate emergency drills and response plans.
• Handle environmental compliance, reporting, and hazardous waste management.
• Maintain all EHS records, reports, permits, and training documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor EHS compliance.
• Assist with internal and external EHS audits.
• Prepare monthly safety committee meetings and report safety metrics.

Job description

• Ensure facility is in compliance with all applicable EHS legal requirements, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements, and corporate operational requirements
• Regular inspection of workplace and recommend and implement reasonably practical control measures
• Maintain existing Job Safety Analysis program, Emergency Action Plan, Legal Register, and Risk Management System
• Making sure Emergency Response plans are in proper working conditions and coordinating emergency drills
• Conduct activities related to environmental compliance, reporting, regulatory permitting, hazardous waste handling, and waste reduction/recycling programs
• Maintain all EHS records, reports, permits, and training documentation.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Assisting with internal and external EHS audits
• Preparation of monthly safety committee meetings, reporting safety metrics, and departmental safety audits
• Demonstrate high standards of conduct and integrity

Requirements

• At least 2 years' of EHS experience in manufacturing sector
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds and skill sets
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Good knowledge of ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 Management Systems and Singapore EHS legal requirements
• Good documentation skills with revision control
• Verse with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Work at Height Supervisor and Lifting Supervisor certifications preferred
• Able to wear PPE when required
• Able to stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and carry up to 18kg occasionally and up to 10 kg frequently
