Job summary

Takenaka Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned WSH Officer to enforce safety standards on project sites and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act. You will lead safety training, conduct inspections, and coordinate with site teams to uphold safety policies.

You will prepare safety reports, participate in audits, and drive safety certifications and awareness programs. A strong leadership style and stakeholder management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
• Minimum 10 years of WSH experience with a Main Contractor.
• Possess at least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or a related discipline.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Well-versed in Singapore WSH legislation and ISO management systems.
• A team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
• Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards.
• Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises.
• Advise Project Management and Senior Management on EHS issues, trends, and corrective actions.
• Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits.
• Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and executive of safety programmes.
• Work with the assistance of your safety team of WSH coordinators and supervisors at the project site.
• Monitor project EHS System activities to ensure Corporate EHS policy and objectives are met.
• Establish rapport with Authorities for ease in communications and support.
• Keeping up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines.
• Other ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned by the management.
