Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Crew Executive to support planning and administration of seafarer deployment, crew rotations, and crew-related operations, while maintaining accurate records and valid regulatory documents.

The role involves coordinating with fleet and crewing teams, suppliers and vessels, advising on performance and suitability of crew, and assisting with the SMS implementation. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of crew management or crewing operations experience.
• Knowledge of STCW requirements, seafarer certification, licensing, and maritime crew documentation.
• Experience coordinating with crew suppliers, manning agencies, vessel personnel and internal teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing crew change schedules, rotation plans, and crew line-ups for approval.
• Support the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and crew-related operations.
• Advise Fleet Manager on crew performance, suitability, and related personnel matters for assigned vessels.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew personal records and planning information.
• Monitor the validity of seafarer travel documents, STCW certificates, licenses, and other required credentials.
• Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations for seafarers.
• Manage travel documentation, visa applications, air ticketing, and other crew mobilisation arrangements.
• Prepare Seafarer Employment Agreements and related employment documentation.
• Coordinate briefing arrangements for Masters and Chief Engineers in Singapore.
• Liaise with crew suppliers and manning agencies regarding sourcing, deployment and replacement requirements.
• Review and verify monthly crew-related invoices and P&I insurance claims.
• Supervise Crew Executives and Crew Assistants.
