Job summary

Maybank Singapore invites a Collections & Recovery professional to manage a portfolio of delinquent and non-performing unsecured accounts, negotiating repayment plans and steering cases toward appropriate resolutions in line with Bank policies.

You will make outbound calls, review accounts, explore remedial actions including potential legal steps, and ensure compliance with MAS guidelines and PDPA while delivering fair customer service.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Banking, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years in high-volume retail collections or recovery.
• Knowledge of collection practices, legal recovery procedures and Singapore litigation.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion with sound settlement judgment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of hardcore accounts to meet recovery targets and prevent NPLs.
• Make outbound calls and follow up on missed payments to clear overdue balances.
• Contact customers to negotiate repayments while maintaining high service standards.
• Review delinquent accounts and recommend remedial actions, including legal action.
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements within authority; escalate when needed.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve complaints within required timeframes.
• Ensure actions follow bank policies and regulatory requirements (MAS, PDPA, fair debt practices).
• Collaborate with team and other departments to meet goals and improve processes.
