Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to elicit needs and translate them into business use cases.
• Develop user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria for analytics projects.
• Design interactive dashboards for data exploration and insights sharing.
• Apply data governance, data cleansing, and feature engineering for meaningful analysis.
• Advise on technology choices, cloud and data management aligned with SG Tech Stack.
• Support deployment readiness and operations post-implementation.
• Identify opportunities for digital transformation and process improvements.

Job description

Our client, one of Asia-Pacific’s leading organizations is looking for:

Senior Business Analyst (Data Analytics)
Responsibilities:

• Partner with the business teams to elicit business needs through human-centric, visual methods such as service journeys and develop the appropriate business use cases
• Apply Design Thinking / Service Design methodology and tools to develop and execute the approach to derive current state gaps and challenges, and future state design and solutions
• Work with the project teams to develop user stories, functional/technical specifications and acceptance criteria
• Adopt best practices in data governance, perform data cleansing, pre-processing and feature engineering that facilitate meaningful analysis
• Design interactive visualisation dashboards for data exploration and provide insights to business teams
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technology while aligning with the organisation technology directions (such as cloud-based, enterprise architecture and modernization of legacy systems, adoption of SG Tech Stack)
• Identify and adopt the appropriate development methodology (e.g. Agile or Waterfall) in an Outsourced, Co-Sourced or In-house development environment
• Ensure system or product readiness for smooth deployment, adoption and operations
• Analyse impact of requested changes and propose improvements to continuously address changing business needs, and work with support team to understand and address technical problems (Operations & Maintenance phase)
• Assist to identify new opportunities for digital transformation

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• At least 6 years of relevant experience
• Prior working experience in IT business analysis, application solutioning design and testing
• Participated in at least one full software or product development cycle, preferably using Agile Methodology
• Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
• Good writing and communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and influence
• A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind
• Data manipulation using scripting languages like Python or using ETL tools Visual analytics technologies like Tableau, Power BI End-to-end analytics architecture, preferably with some working knowledge of big data stack
• Knowledge in cloud and data management technologies, including data lake and warehousing, ETL, and data visualization tools.
