Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Business Analyst to support the enhancement, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise digital systems. The role focuses on understanding business processes, gathering user requirements, and resolving system issues.

You will analyse data, coordinate UAT, and provide Level 2 application support, using Excel and SQL for reporting and data preparation. This contract position is based in Jurong West.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business processes and user requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Engage business users to understand operational needs and translate them into clear business and system requirements.
• Gather and document requirements, user stories, process flows, functional requirements, and system enhancement requests.
• Review existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement, digitalisation, and automation.
• Support end-to-end system enhancement initiatives from requirements gathering, testing and implementation through to post-production support.
• Prepare test scenarios and test cases, coordinate UAT, track defects, and follow through on issue resolution.
• Provide Level 2 application support, investigate issues, troubleshoot, and coordinate with technical teams or vendors.
• Support system configuration, enhancements, releases, and post-implementation verification.
• Use Excel and SQL to extract, reconcile, clean, and analyse data for operational reporting and system-related activities.
• Assist with data cleansing, data preparation, and migration activities.
• Monitor data quality and system performance and escalate as needed.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, functional specifications, guides, FAQs, user manuals, and training materials.
• Support user briefings, system rollout activities, workshops, and project meetings.
• Maintain project trackers, requirement logs, action items, meeting notes, and system documentation.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the enhancement, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise digital systems.

This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who enjoys understanding business processes, gathering user requirements, supporting system enhancements, analysing data, and resolving application issues.

• Salary Package: Up to $4200 (basic) x 12 months
• Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business processes and user requirements.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, VBA, or low-code platforms will be advantageous.
• Exposure to data platforms such as Snowflake or Denodo would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence is advantageous.
• Able to communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on issues and action items independently.
