Qualifications

What the role is:

We aim to innovate to deliver HR services professionally and with a heart, in partnership with Home Team Agencies and PSD. There are five branches in HRSC. This post is under the Boarding and Development Services Branch.Job holder plays a key role in identifying and implementing opportunities to automate and improve HR operational workflows, with a focus on hiring processes. Working closely with the operations teams, the jobholder contributes to making day‑to‑day HR processes more efficient through the use of technology tools such as macros, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Python scripting.

What you will be working on:

• 1. You will work closely with the hiring teams to understand existing workflows, identify pain points, and surface opportunities where automation or technology tools can reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• 2. You will assist in building and implementing automation solutions using tools such as RPA (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere), Python scripting, and macros to streamline repetitive or manual HR operational tasks.
• 3. You will support process reviews and documentation, helping to map out current workflows, flag inefficiencies, and contribute to proposals for improvement.
• 4. You will assist in the testing, monitoring, and refinement of implemented automation solutions, working with the operations teams to ensure the tools are functioning as intended and making adjustments where needed.
• 5. You will contribute to fostering an innovation mindset within the team by sharing knowledge of useful tools and supporting internal initiatives that promote process improvement and service excellence.

Note: This is a contract position.

What we are looking for:

• Some hands‑on experience or coursework in automation or productivity tools such as Python, macros, or RPA platforms (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is preferred. A strong willingness to learn and apply these tools on the job is essential.
• Familiarity with process mapping or workflow documentation is an advantage.
• Good analytical skills to observe operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical solutions.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and translate their needs into technical solutions.
