Job summary

Exyte is seeking a Senior Architect in Singapore to lead architectural design from concept through construction and handover. You will ensure compliance with local codes, integrate sustainability targets, and oversee tender documentation and contract schedules.

You will act as WPO, chair client meetings, and mentor junior staff. The role requires 7–8 years of experience, international exposure, leadership in fast-track projects across semiconductor, biotech, healthcare sectors, and strong

Qualifications

• 7-8 years professional architectural experience with 2 years on fast-track projects
• Experience in design and construction of Architectural services systems in both design and construction, preferably with some “Fast Track Project” experience for Semiconductor, Sustainable Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, Healthcare or Biotech Projects
• At least three years of international experience in a high-tech industry or other multiple discipline orientated construction business
• At least two years of experience in a leading architectural position of a fast-track project including one years of experience in managing multi-discipline project
• At least two years of experience of managing staff, coaching/mentoring and developing people
• Experience in implementing change strategies internally
• Experience in strategic and operational planning and implementation

Responsibilities

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover

• Work Package Owner (WPO) responsible for packages progress to completion with supervisor/QAQC
• Chairing sub-contractor progress meetings
• Chairing Architectural Department Client weekly Meetings
• Liaising with QA/QC engineers to align supervision goals with specifications
• Lead Architect responsibilities in absence of Lead Architect
• Mentoring of an Architect to develop personnel
• Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor has current approved plans and shop drawings
• Briefing Architectural System Supervisor on scope, tender docs and revisions
• Promoting safe working practices and employee health and wellbeing
• Undertaking assigned work scope professionally and responsibly
• Protecting company interests and scope awareness
• Role may span pricing, design, construction, commissioning, to final acceptance
• Contributing to Knowledge Centre, Digitalization Tools, Lessons Learnt System, Sustainability and other improvements
• Ad hoc duties as determined by Management

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Taking role as Work Package Owner (WPO) responsible for packages progress to completion with help of supervisor / QAQC team and final handover documents
• Progressing the design in accordance with the Design Checklist
• Chairing sub-contractor progress meetings
• Chairing Architectural Department Client weekly Meetings
• Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance engineers to ensure alignment of supervision goals with specification requirements
• In the absence of a Lead Architect, the Senior Architect shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Lead Architect position
• Mentoring of an Architect with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company
• Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is provided with the current approved plans and shop drawings
• Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation.
• To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and wellbeing of Employees, Sub-contractors and customers.
• To undertake the assigned work scope in a professional and responsible manner
• To protect the interests of the company
• To ensure full awareness of his/her scope of work and the extent of the obligations of Exyte
• The role could vary between pricing, design, construction, commissioning, through to final acceptance
• To embody and champion a mindset for Operational Excellence by active contribution towards development of Knowledge Centre, Digitalization Tools, Lessons Learnt System, Sustainability and other operational improvement initiatives.
• Ad hoc duties as determined by Management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture, preferably from a university accredited with BOA
• Bachelor of Science Architecture (Hons)
• Certifications in Autodesk Revit, BCA Green Mark Manager, BCA Universal Design Assessor, LEED-AP, WELLS-AP, Design for Safety etc are preferred.
