Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking an experienced architect in Singapore to drive conceptual design through to handover while ensuring compliance with local codes and sustainability targets. The role includes producing tender docs, leading progress meetings, and coordinating with QA to align supervision with specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 3–6 years of professional architectural experience for Architects, with 2 years on fast-track projects.
  • 7–10 years for Senior Architects with 5 years on fast-track projects.
  • 10–20 years for Lead Architects with 10 years on fast-track projects.
  • Experience in design and construction of architectural services systems, preferably with fast-track semiconductor, energy, pharma, healthcare, or biotech projects.
  • At least two years in a leading architectural position on a fast-track project, including multidisciplinary project management.

Responsibilities

  • Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover.
  • Ensure designs comply with local authorities' code.
  • Incorporating sustainability targets into design.
  • Produce tender documentation and schedules.
  • Advance design using the Design Checklist.
  • Chair subcontractor progress meetings and client weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate with QA engineers to align supervision goals with specs.
  • Promote safe working practices and protect health and wellbeing.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with local authorities' code.
  • Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design.
  • Production of tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates.
  • Progressing the design following the Design Checklist.
  • Chairing subcontractor progress meetings.
  • Chairing the Architectural Department Client weekly Meetings.
  • Liaising with quality assurance / Quality Compliance engineers to ensure alignment of supervision goals with specification requirements.
  • In the absence of a Lead Architect, the Senior Architect shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Lead Architect position.
  • Mentoring an architect with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
  • Ensuring the architectural system supervisor is provided with the current approved plans and shop drawings.
  • Ensuring the architectural system supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents, and all contractual revisions to tender documentation.
  • To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of employees, subcontractors, and customers.
  • To undertake the assigned work scope professionally and responsibly.
  • To protect the interests of the company.

The role could vary between pricing, design, construction, and commissioning through to final acceptance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Hons) preferred.
  • Architects: 3 – 6 years of professional architectural experience with 2 years on fast-track projects.
  • Senior Architects: 7 – 10 years of professional architectural experience with 5 years on fast-track projects.
  • Lead Architects: 10 – 20 years of professional architectural experience with 10 years on fast-track projects.
  • Experience in the design and construction of architectural services systems in both design and construction, preferably with some "Fast Track Project" experience for semiconductor, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical, nutrition, healthcare, or biotech projects.
  • At least two years of experience in a leading architectural position of a fast-track project, including one year of experience in managing a multidiscipline project.
  • Experience in implementing change strategies internally.
  • Good team player and ability to collaborate across discipline.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of Architectural Design and construction systems from Preliminary Design to Handover.
