Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Architect to take conceptual design through to implementation and handover on fast-track projects. You will ensure designs comply with local authorities' codes and incorporate sustainability targets into every project.

You will mentor junior architects, produce tender documentation, and chair client and sub-contractor meetings while coordinating with QA/QC to meet specifications. A strong track record in architectural services is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture degree from BOA-accredited university.
• 3–7 years of professional architectural experience with fast-track project exposure.
• Experience in design and construction of architectural services systems.
• Certifications in Autodesk Revit, BCA Green Mark Manager, BCA Universal Design Assessor, LEED-AP, WELL-AP or Design for Safety are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take conceptual design through to implementation and handover.
• Ensure design complies with local authorities' codes.
• Incorporate sustainability targets into design.
• Produce tender documentation and contract schedules (e.g., Summary of Tender, Schedule of Rates).
• Act as Work Package Owner (WPO) to manage packages toward completion with supervision/QAQC.
• Progress design per the Design Checklist.
• Chair sub-contractor progress meetings.
• Chair Architectural Department Client weekly meetings.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers to align goals with specifications.
• Mentor a junior architect to build capability.
• Ensure Supervisors have current approved plans and shop drawings.

Job Description:

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover
• Ensure that all design is in compliance with local authorities' code
• Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design
• Production of tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates
• Taking role as Work Package Owner (WPO) responsible for packages progress to completion with help of supervisor / QAQC team and final handover documents
• Progressing the design in accordance with the Design Checklist
• Chairing sub-contractor progress meetings
• Chairing Architectural Department Client weekly Meetings
• Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance engineers to ensure alignment of supervision goals with specification requirements
• In the absence of a Lead Architect, the Senior Architect shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Lead Architect position
• Mentoring of an Architect with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company
• Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is provided with the current approved plans and shop drawings
• Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture, preferably from a university accredited with BOA
• Bachelor of Science Architecture (Hons)
• Certifications in Autodesk Revit, BCA Green Mark Manager, BCA Universal Design Assessor, LEED-AP, WELLS-AP, Design for Safety etc. are preferred.
• 3 - 7 years professional architectural experience with 2 years on fast-track projects
• 1 - 2 years additional experience for each higher grade of progression
• Experience in design and construction of Architectural services systems in both design and construction, preferably with some "Fast Track Project" experience for Semiconductor, Sustainable Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, Healthcare or Biotech Projects
