Job summary

Vertex Solutions in Singapore seeks a senior techno-commercial leader to guide utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across APAC, with a strong emphasis on the Philippines market.

You will oversee origination through construction to commercial operations, providing expert input on feasibility, due diligence and regulatory compliance while coordinating with investment and asset teams.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional engineering designation preferred.
• Minimum 15 years IPP experience in renewable energy or related fields with APAC exposure.
• Strong techno-commercial leadership with a track record in Solar PV and BESS projects from development to operations.
• Solid understanding of NGCP requirements and regional grid codes/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical and commercial leader for onshore Solar PV and BESS projects across APAC, focusing on the Philippines.
• Lead projects through origination, development, financial close, execution and operations.
• Provide techno-commercial leadership on feasibility studies, due diligence and M&A for acquisitions and market entries.
• Ensure compliance with NGCP requirements, grid codes and regulatory frameworks across target markets.
• Lead and participate in technical working groups and align regional considerations with company strategies.
• Advise on electrical engineering aspects including network design, power system studies and safety programs.
• Assess projects for technical performance, lifecycle costs and region-specific factors.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to inform commercial potential.
• Evaluate equipment suppliers and support technical due diligence for investments.
