Job summary

Union International Trading Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts, including GL, AP, AR and bank reconciliations, and to perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.

You will prepare management accounts, financial reports, GST calculations and cash-flow analyses for a trading-focused business in Singapore. A strong understanding of data integrity, reconciliations and reporting is essential.

Qualifications

Advance Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline.
5–8 years of relevant accounting experience in trading/wholesale environments.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end closing.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

Responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts including GL, AP, AR and bank reconciliations.
Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Manage accounting for trading transactions, inventory and COGS.
Monitor inventory and inter-company balances; perform FX revaluations.
Prepare GST calculations and support GST submissions.
Prepare cash flow reports and monitor cash position.
Review invoices, payments, receipts and supporting documents.
Assist with annual audit and tax matters; liaise with auditors and external parties.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting.
