Job summary

GOOD RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Corporate Accountant in Singapore to oversee monthly closures, statutory reporting, and IFRS compliance for a commodities-focused MNC.

You will coordinate Treasury, Tax, and Audit functions, ensuring strong internal controls and timely management reporting. The role requires 4–5 years in corporate accounting, proficiency with SAP ERP, IFRS, and CTRM platforms, plus strong Excel analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Professional qualifications (CAS Singapore, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 4–5 years corporate accounting experience in commodities/energy MNCs.
• SAP ERP experience for ledger maintenance and reporting.
• IFRS, GST/WHT, and transfer pricing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Accountant on timely monthly closure of accounts.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and year-end management reports.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packs for submission to Group Accounting.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis including gross profit and variance analysis.
• Prepare statutory financial statements per IFRS and Group Accounting requirements.
• Ensure local compliance reports are accurate and submitted on time (GST, WHT, tax filings, transfer pricing docs).
• Work with Corporate Secretary on annual returns lodging with ACRA.
• Handle annual GTP survey compliance and reporting.
• Manage quarterly review of accounts by external auditors.
• Responsible for internal audit processes led by internal auditors.
• Ensure internal controls are robust across workflows.
• Handle internal/external audit queries and resolve technical matters.
• Handle derivatives reporting and reconciliations between trading systems and the GL.
• Provide technical support for IFRS interpretation and application.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements.
• Execute ad-hoc accounting tasks as directed.

PreparestatutoryfinancialstatementsinstrictaccordancewithIFRSandGroupAccounting’srequirements.

Ensurethelocalcompliancereportsareaccurateandsubmittedontime,includingGST,WHT,annualtaxfiling,andtransferpricingdocumentation.

WorkwithCorporateSecretaryonannualreturnslodgingwithACRA.

HandleannualGTPsurvey(GlobalTraderProgram)complianceandreporting.

3.AuditManagement&InternalControls

Managequarterlyreviewofaccountsbyexternalauditors.

ResponsibleforinternalauditprocessesledbyinternalauditorsassignedbytheGroup.

Ensureinternalcontrolsarerobustlyinplace,monitored,andexecutedacrossallworkflows.

Handleallinternal/externalauditqueriesandresolverelatedtechnicalmatters.

4.Treasury,SpecializedAccounting&SpecialProjects

Handlederivativesreportingandmeticulousaccountreconciliationbetweentradingsystemsandthegeneralledger.

ProvidetechnicalsupportintermsofcomplexIFRSinterpretationandoperationalapplication.

Participateinspecialprojectsandcorporateworkflowprocessimprovements.

Executeanyad-hocaccountingfunctionsassignedbythemanagementteam.

Requirements&Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’sdegreeinAccounting,Finance,orarelatedfield.Professionalqualifications(e.g.,CASingapore,ACCA,CPA,orequivalent)arehighlypreferred.
• Experience:4–5yearsofprogressivecorporateaccountingexperience,ideallywithinacommoditiestrading,shipping,orenergylogisticsmultinationalcorporation(MNC).
• HardSkills:
• SAP:Hands-onproficiencyinSAPERPforledgermaintenance,month-endclosing,andfinancialreporting.
• Aspect/CTRM:DirectexperienceworkingwithAspectorsimilarCommodityTradingandRiskManagement(CTRM)platformstohandlederivativesaccounting,tradevaluations,orpaper/physicalreconciliations.
