Job summary

Tradeland Shipping Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end-to-end trade accounting for physical transactions and to manage the full accounting remit for Singapore entities. You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and drive profitability analytics across products, customers, and regions.

The role requires 3–5 years in FP&A or accounting, strong Excel skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Must have ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CA or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, macros).
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Detail-oriented with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trade accounting across physical transactions, including trade capture verification, margin estimate, cost accruals and actual profitability.
• Manage full spectrum of accounting functions for Singapore entities, prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Prepare profitability reporting analytics of physical transactions by product, customer and region for management review.
• Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances and transactions; AR/AP processing and reconciliation.
• Quarterly GST tax return and assist in corporate tax preparation.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Treasury to ensure accurate transaction data and resolve trade discrepancies.
• Partner with auditors, tax agents and external stakeholders on statutory reporting and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare profitability reporting analytics of physical transactions, including product, customer and region for management review.
• Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances and transactions, AR/AP process and perform reconciliation.
• Quarterly GST tax return and assist in preparation of corporate tax.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Treasury to ensure accurate transaction data and resolve trade discrepancies.
• Partner with auditor, tax agent and external stakeholders on statutory reporting and regulatory matters.

Candidate Profile

• A recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in FP&A or Accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query and macros.
• Proficient in spoken & written English.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of the international bulk trading environment would be an advantage.
