Job summary

Innergy Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Accountant in Singapore to manage full-set accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation for a global shipping client. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide business decisions.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of audit experience in a public firm, followed by commercial accounting experience, preferably in shipping or related industries, with strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm, followed by relevant commercial accounting experience.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, maritime, transportation, or related industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end closing, statutory compliance, GST, and audit coordination.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounting, accounts reconciliation, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Exposure to cash flow monitoring, treasury operations, and banking transactions is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional qualifications (CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual unconsolidated and consolidated financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements).
• Monitor and analyze financial data, including revenues, liabilities, and expenditures.
• Forecast costs and revenues to support budgeting and investment decisions.
• Manage tax payments and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to financial policies.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Assist in developing financial policies and procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Assist in statutory audit process and resolving audit matters.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned including but not limited to business partnering duties.
