Job summary

Grey Tree in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to own supplier payments and drive process improvements across the finance function. You will manage end-to-end AP, review payment requests with internal teams and banks, and support month-end close with accruals.

The role requires at least five years in accounts payable or finance operations, strong Excel skills, and a willingness to apply coding or scripting (Python) to automate processes in a trading or multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline (professional qualification a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of accounts payable or finance operations experience, ideally within a trading or multinational environment.
• Strong working knowledge of an ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Coding or scripting ability (Python preferred), with an interest in applying it to finance automation.

Responsibilities

Our client is a leading global commodity trading house with a strong energy focus and a presence in the world’s major trading hubs, including Singapore. In line with their expansion, they are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Singapore finance team, taking ownership of supplier payments and driving process improvement across the function.
