Job summary

OCTOMATE STAFFING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Semiconductor Technician / Tester to perform testing, repair, and assembly of electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems at our Singapore site.

You will interpret schematics, operate test fixtures, and ensure safety compliance while contributing to process improvements. The role requires reading engineering instructions, basic English literacy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow engineering instructions independently.
• Good English literacy to interpret manuals and communicate findings.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, repair, and assembly of electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instructions for testing and troubleshooting.
• Conduct electro-mechanical testing operations and identify/correct faults.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety policies and report any hazards or incidents.
• Perform data entry for progress tracking, labor details, and work documentation.
• Support basic programming, repair, or software-related tasks when required.
• Inspect parts, perform audits, and ensure completeness before testing.
• Troubleshoot issues and suggest process improvements.

Semiconductor Technician / Tester (No Interview Required | Day / Night Shift Available | Company Transport Provided)

Salary

• Basic: Up to $3,600
• Shift Allowance: Up to $800/month (depending on shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing, repair, and assembly of electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instructions for testing and troubleshooting
• Conduct electro-mechanical testing operations and identify/correct faults
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all health and safety policies and report any hazards or incidents
• Perform data entry for progress tracking, labor details, and work documentation

Requirements

• Minimum O Level with decent English literacy (able to read and follow engineering instruction manual independently)
• NITEC/Diploma in any Engineering discipline with no experience are welcome to apply
• For Tester roles, candidates must have knowledge of using a multimeterd
• Candidates with semiconductor or electronics manufacturing experience may be considered for Tester roles.

Working Hours

Permanent Shift Available (Choose Your Preferred Shift):

Monday to Friday

• Morning: 7:00am – 4:30pm (No shift allowance)
• Afternoon: 4:00pm – 1:30am (Approx. $500 shift allowance)
• Overnight: 11:30pm – 9:00am (Approx. $800 shift allowance)

Other Information

• Company transport provided for all shifts
• Work location: Changi North or Tampines North
• No interview required
• Shortlisted candidates only need to complete 1 x MCQ assessment and 1 x assembly test
• 2-year renewable contract
