Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore seeks a diligent technician to assemble, test and repair electrical and electro-mechanical components at Upper Changi. The role requires reading schematics and following detailed work instructions, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work across testing equipment and assemblies, contributing to consistent production output. The position offers a 1-year contract with renewal based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Min. Nitec or Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Able to read electrical schematics / circuit diagrams.
• Experience in electrical, electro-mechanical, semiconductor assembly or testing is advantageous.
• Comfortable performing hands-on assembly, testing and troubleshooting work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies and components.
• Read and work with schematics, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Perform testing using electronic measurement equipment, test fixtures, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Identify defects, troubleshoot issues and correct assembly or testing errors.
• Inspect incoming parts and ensure all required components are available for production.
• Record production, testing and work-related information using computer systems.
• Support process improvements and assist with troubleshooting during testing.
• Follow all workplace safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.

Job description

Work location: Upper Changi

Contract: 1 year (renewable / convertible based on performance and business requirements)

Salary: up to $3,600 (basic) + 1 month completion bonus

Working Hours and Shift Arrangements

1. Current Shift Schedule - Immediate Until December:
   Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
   Noon Shift: 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM ($500+ Allowance/month) & transport provided
   Night Shift: 11:30 PM - 9:00 AM ($700+ Allowance/month) & transport provided

2. 12-Hour Rotating Shift - From January:
   12 hours rotating shift (4 days' work, 3 days off, 3 days' work, 4 days off).
   Morning shift - 7AM to 7PM - Allowance: $20 per shift (around $300-320/month in allowance)
   Night shift - 7PM to 7AM - Allowance: $45 per shift (around $680-700/month)

• Comfortable working in a confined spaces, high/low spaces and full PPE environment
