Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an electrical/electro-mechanical assembler at our Singapore site, located at Upper Changi Road. Roles include building, repairing and testing assemblies according to schematics, with safety training and adherence to procedures.

The position involves standing, manual handling, and shifts with allowances tied to PM and graveyard periods. On-site work with required use of PPE and equipment. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies, wiring and cabling, reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with testing equipment and measurement tools.
• Ability to work with vacuum/pneumatic systems where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies and components from orders and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, identify errors and perform repairs.
• Operate test fixtures and measurement equipment; log progress and labour details.
• Adhere to safety standards and report hazards.
• Receive parts, perform audits for availability, inspect for defects and contribute to process improvements.

Job description

Job Location:

• Upper Changi Road (pick up busses available at Paya Lebar, Woodlands, Sengkang, Jurong)

Shift Pattern and Allowance:

• 5 day work week (Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat or Sun - Thurs)
• AM Shift (7am to 4.30pm)
• PM Shift (4pm to 1.30am) - $25/shift allowance
• Graveyard Shift (11.30pm to 9am) - $40/shift allowance

Job Description:

• Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components.
• Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Identifies and corrects errors.
• Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components. Enters data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details. May perform computer programming, repair or software installs.
• Details finished work. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform built, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Troubleshoots and improves processes and involved in test.

Working Environment Involves:

• Standing and working hands-on for extended periods
• Squatting or working in confined/tight spaces
• Climbing around approximately 2 metres
• Some jumping/movement depending on the work area
• Lifting items of at least 15kg
