Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a mechanically inclined technician to build, repair and test electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.

The role includes troubleshooting, process improvements, safety compliance, and data entry of progress and labour details, with shifts such as AM, PM, Graveyard, and 12-hour options. Relevant Nitec / Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, plus internship or academic

Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Relevant internship or academic background would be considered.
• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies using work orders and wiring diagrams.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of assemblies and components.
• Identify and correct errors to ensure quality and safety.

About the role

Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair
• Identify and correct errors
• Observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment
• Attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures and practices
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components
• Enter data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details
• Perform computer programming, repair or software installs
• Detail finished work, receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available
• Inspect parts for defects and troubleshoot and improve processes

About you

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Relevant experience would be advantageous
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Work Arrangements

• AM Shift (7am to 4.30pm)
• PM Shift (4pm to 1.30am) - $25/shift allowance
• Graveyard Shift (11.30PM to 9AM) - $40/shift allowance
• 12 hour Day Shift (7am - 7pm)
• 12 hour Night Shift (7pm - 7am)
• Different work days
