Job summary

Asia Polyurethane Manufacturing Pte Ltd is seeking a Customer Communications & Market Research Assistant in Singapore to manage messaging, respond to inquiries, coordinate visits, and perform market research using Tendata data sources. You will liaise with sales teams, prepare reports, and maintain accurate contact records.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, IT savviness, proactivity, independence, teamwork, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sending mass messages and announcements to customers via WhatsApp group chats and other approved messaging platforms.
• Ensure messages are accurate, professional, and aligned with instructions.
• Respond to basic customer enquiries and route technical or commercial questions to the appropriate team.
• Maintain proper records of customer communications when required.
• Conduct outbound calls to customers using internet-based calling platforms as instructed.
• Follow up with customers on orders, deliveries, feedback, promotions, or general enquiries.
• Escalate urgent or sensitive customer issues promptly.
• Arrange and conduct customer visits when required.
• Act as the representative of the company during customer meetings.
• Gather customer feedback, market information, and business updates during visits.
• Prepare simple visit reports and share findings with Team.
• Coordinate closely with Team to ensure consistent messaging and service standards.
• Support ad-hoc customer service and sales-related tasks assigned.
• Assist in maintaining updated customer contact lists and records.
• Conduct market and customer research using the Tendata portal and other approved data sources.
• Extract and analyze export and import data to identify market trends, volumes, and key trading routes.
• Identify potential customers, competitors, and active importers/exporters based on Tendata data.
• Track and summarize market transacted prices and pricing trends where available.
• Prepare concise market intelligence summaries and reports to support sales and strategic decisions.
