Job summary

STAR CONCORD PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Sales Executive to join our expanding team. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, cold calling, presenting services, and building relationships with clients while delivering accurate quotations and timely responses.

Hours are 9am–6pm, five days a week. We offer training and a basic salary plus commission, with preference for candidates having 1–2 years in freight forwarding or logistics.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to identify prospects and convert them into customers.
• Ability to prepare accurate quotations and cost calculations.
• Independently capable while also working effectively in a team.
• Professional Certificate/NiTEC required.

Responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities by understanding customer needs and proposing solutions.
• Cold call to arrange meetings and prospect for new business.
• Present the company’s services in a structured, professional manner.
• Respond to incoming emails and phone enquiries promptly.
• Provide quotations and fast cost calculations for customers.
• Coordinate with overseas agents on shipping charges and regulations.
• Maintain client relationships by offering support and guidance.
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.
• Review sales performance and strive to exceed targets.
• Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.
• Contribute to team effort by delivering related results as needed.

Sales Executive Job Duties:

• Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and understanding the needs of the potential customers; recommending solutions.
• Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
• Present company’s services favorably and in a structured professional way face-to-face.
• Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries.
• Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
• Liaise with overseas agents to check on the shipping charges, rules and regulations for the respective countries.
• Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
• Review own sales performance, aiming to meet and exceed targets.
• Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC.
• No working experience related is required but if possess 1-2 years of experience in the in Freight Forwarding / Logistics would be an advantage.
