Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte Ltd is assisting a leading manufacturer of sealing solutions for the semiconductor sector in Singapore. We are seeking a Sales Engineer to develop opportunities across Singapore and the SEA region, managing customer relationships and promoting specialized O-rings and elastomer products.

The ideal candidate will have sales experience in semiconductors, strong communication and negotiation skills, and Japanese language proficiency.

Qualifications

Japanese language proficiency is mandatory to interact with Japanese-speaking customers and HQ/regions in Japan.
Experience in sales, account management, or business development within the semiconductor industry.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with semiconductor manufacturers and equipment manufacturers through regular customer engagement.
Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts by understanding customer requirements and future projects.
Promote and recommend suitable sealing solutions, including O-rings and elastomer products, based on customer applications and technical needs.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential sales opportunities.
Prepare quotations, sales forecasts, reports, and follow up on customer orders and inquiries.
Coordinate with internal teams to manage customer requirements, inventory planning, and delivery schedules.
Liaise with regional counterparts in Asia and other global offices to support customer projects and business development activities.
Travel within Singapore and Southeast Asia as required.

This position is responsible for developing sales opportunities with semiconductor manufacturers and equipment manufacturers across Singapore and the SEA region. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting specialized sealing products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Requirements

Business-level Japanese language proficiency is required to communicate with Japanese-speaking customers, coordinate with headquarters and regional offices in Japan, and support business discussions and documentation that are conducted primarily in Japanese.
Relevant sales, account management, or business development experience within the semiconductor industry.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements

Experience working with Japanese companies or supporting Japanese customers.
Knowledge of seals, rubber, elastomer materials, or related industrial products.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license.
Willingness to travel within Asia when required.
